ABOUT: Our 2% Pyrithione Zinc Shampoo Bars are a great substitute to liquid shampoos or bar soap - this bar will give you roughly 100 washes. A single bar will easily outlast several bottles of liquid shampoo. Our shampoo bars are made mostly from vegetable ingredients with soothing Aloe Vera and conditioning additives like Shea Butter. The high glycerin content provides good moisturizing.

INGREDIENTS: The list looks long and complicated because making highly performant shampoo is not easy. Every ingredient was scrutinized for safety. We've chosen the most natural ingredients possible to produce an aesthetically pleasing safe shampoo bar.

Bar specific ingredients:

DIRECTIONS: Rub directly onto hair to create a later. Massage into your hair and scalp. Leave in contact with skin for at least 30 seconds. Rinse well. Store bar on a soap tray or rack so that it dries between uses.

TRANSITION PERIOD: The transition period isn't too scary. It lasts anywhere from a few washes to a month and once it's done, you won't want to go back. Why does it take time to adjust? Because you've been slathering your poor hair with chemical-laden goo for the past 20 years. The goo has been stripping natural oils and nutrients. Your hair needs time to adjust when you switch from chemical-rich shampoos that come in plastic bottles to more natural shampoo bars. After a few washes, research shows that you’ll adjust. It’ll be like magic. You'll have natural, normal, healthy hair. Stick with it for at least two weeks and if you're not satisfied with the results, write us so that we can help.

WATER TYPE & CONDITIONING: Natural shampoo bars have reduced performance in 'hard water' as do all natural soaps. This bar contains an ingredient called SCI to help overcome calcified water. If your hair does not feel clean after washing with this shampoo bar, your water is extremely 'hard'. Hard water users should consider conditioning or rinsing with an Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) dilute - you make this by mixing ACV [the kind in your kitchen] at a ratio of 1/2 to 4 tablespoons of ACV per 8 ounces of distilled water [if your water is hard] in a plastic squeeze bottle or spray bottle. Dry hair likes less ACV and oily hair like more.

WARNING: Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rise eyes thoroughly with water. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

We prioritize the use of recycled and renewable materials. The bar packaging - a brown Kraft paper envelope with an inner plant-based PLA lining is ASTM D 6400 and DIN EN 13432 certified. These certify that the PLA and paper will compost satisfactorily. Grace of Me is our new brand run by Grace Addison (the 14 year old daughter of DermaHarmony's owner).
