Heat soap in a microwave, at 30-second intervals, stirring between each one. Melted base should be smooth and liquidy, with no lumps or chunks. Alternatively, the soap base can be melted in a double boiler.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAdd colorants, fragrance oil or essential oil to the melted soap.
